Northwest Girls Run Away From North Platte, 54-24

(North Platte, NE) - The Northwest girls basketball team ran away from North Platte on Tuesday night, defeating the Bulldogs, 54-24. The Vikings got off to a great start in the game, ending the first quarter with a shutout, 13-0. North Platte wouldn't score their first points of the game until the five-minute mark in the second quarter. The Vikings would lead 23-10 at the halftime break. Northwest would have a 43-16 lead at the end of the third quarter.

North Platte, with the loss, moves to 4-10 on the season and will host McCook on Friday, January 23rd. Northwest is now 7-7 and will next be in action on Tuesday, January 27th, hosting Lakeview in the Central Conference Tournament at 5:30 pm.
