Hastings College Homecoming court announced

(Hastings, Nebraska) – Homecoming week is underway at Hastings College with multiple student activities happening on campus, from a free movie night to Grocery Bag Bingo to the Alpha Chi Brainbuster trivia night to a bonfire and yard games. It all builds to the traditional Homecoming dinner and dance Friday evening when Homecoming Royalty are announced.

Community and public events, including a groundbreaking for the new residence hall and the Bronco Tailgate, were announced last week.

Homecoming Court
Ten members of the junior class were chosen by the student body for the Homecoming Court. Homecoming Royalty, the top two vote recipients among members of the Court, will be announced during the student Homecoming dinner the evening of Friday, October 25.

Members of the Homecoming Court include:

Donovan Andrews of Chappell, Nebraska, is a music composition major active in the Hastings College Band and the National Association of Music Education. He is a resident assistant in Babcock Hall.

Marcus Dustin of Lincoln, Nebraska, is a biochemistry major who currently works for Blackford Neuroscience team at UNMC. The football player is also a chemistry tutor and librarian.

Molly Kammerer of Sutherland, Nebraska, is a biology education major active in Scott Scholars where she is on the first-year enrichment committee. She is also in the Hastings College Choir, Youth For Christ and the First Presbyterian Chancel Choir. She was the 2024 Young Adult Advisory Delegate for the Central Nebraska Presbytery.

Bailey Kissinger of Glenvil, Nebraska, is a health systems major for pre-nursing. She is a member of the women’s basketball team and has helped put on team basketball camps and gives young girls basketball lessons.

Summer Postlewait of Venango, Nebraska, is a music education and secondary education major. The Dean's List student is active in Hastings College Choir, Choral Union, the Marching Bronco Band and Concert Band.

Marissa Ruiz of Las Vegas, Nevada, is a wildlife biology major active in Student Association, Association of Student Athletes, TriBeta, Alpha Chi, Honors and the women’s bowling team, where she is a team captain. The Dean's List student is a programming board member in the Student Association, resident assistant and has helped with Earth Day Clean Up and DNA Days at Hastings Museum. She was awarded Alpha Chi Outstanding First Year and Student Association Outstanding Programming Board member. 

Wyatt Ryan of Overton, Nebraska, is a business administration major. The Dean's List student is active in football, MentoringWorks, Bronco Catholic and is a member of the Scott’s Scholars program. He is also a NAIA Scholar Athlete honoree. 

Jenna Sterling of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, is a biology major in the pre-dentistry track. The Dean's List student is captain of the Crimson Spirit Dance team, and is on the Community Leadership Challenge and marketing committees for the Scott Scholars Program. She is a NAIA scholar athlete, student founder of Dental Day of Hastings, volunteer worship leader at North Shore Church in Hastings and a staff counselor at Young RYLA. 

Story Talbert of Conifer, Colorado, is a chemistry major active in Student Association where he is an entertainment committee member. He does chemistry and physics research, volunteers at the YMCA and is a member of the Scott’s Scholars program, where he is chair of the crash course committee and design studio pilot team lead.  

Paige Willcoxon of Elkhorn, Nebraska, is psychology and Spanish major. She is social chair of Chi Omega Psi, captain of the women’s tennis team, and is vice president of the Student Association. She’s also a member of Bronco Catholic and the Association of Student Athletes. The Dean's List student is head resident assistant of Altman Hall.
