Offense: Domestic Assault
Victim: 41 year old female Incident #: L24092498
Offender: Brent Kamarad
Date and Time of Incident: 9/29/24 @ 03:16
Location of Incident: 403 E 19th St
Brief Narrative: On 09/29/2024, Officers responded to 403 E 19th St in reference to a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with the reporting party who advised that her and her former boyfriend/intimate partner identified as Brent Kamarad got into an argument. It was further provided that Brent began striking the reporting party multiple times in the face with an open palm causing bodily injury. It was further advised that Brent used a bottle of liquor to strike the reporting party in the buttocks region. The reporting party had bruising in the buttocks region along with a cut behind her ear where it was reported she was struck. Brent was placed under arrest for DV Assault-3rd/Cause Bodily Injur/Sub.

Brief Narrative: On 09-28-2024 a possible child enticement incident through electronic device was reported within the city limits of Grand Island Ne. Case is open. 

Offense: Drugs
Victim: Incident #: L24092385
Offender: Jayden Payton
Date and Time of Incident: 9/27/24 @ 22:46
Location of Incident: W 17th St & N Walnut St
Brief Narrative: On 09/28/2024, officers observed a Black Honda sedan driving northbound on Walnut Street with no plates. A traffic stop was conducted on 17th and Walnut. The vehicle had in transits that expired in 2023. The driver would exit the vehicle and refused to get back into the vehicle. Officers gave the driver several demands to get back into the vehicle, to which he stated no. The male verbally identified himself as Jayden Payton. Jayden would state that he has a warrant and suspended license. A records check confirmed Jayden's identity, his Hall County warrant, and his suspended license. Justin was unable to provide valid insurance for the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was observed inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a pill bottle with Jayden's name on it, for Tramadol. Inside of the pill bottle was Clonazepam and Lorazepam, schedule II drugs. Jayden was arrested for Possession Controlled Substance, Drug Paraphernalia, No Registration (50+days), No Insurance, Obstruct Police and Hall County Warrant.

Date and Time of Incident: between 9/19/24 & 9/27/24
Location of Incident: 518 E 16th St
Brief Narrative: On 09/27/2024 officers were dispatched in reference to an assault call for service. During this call an adult female reported being strangled by her boyfriend as he pinned her to a flipped over couch causing visible injury on 09/19/2024 at her home. The victim would confirm that she could not breathe for a short time. Investigation is on going.

Brief Narrative: On 09/27/2024, an Officer responded to 507 2nd St W; Relax Inn in reference to a theft call for service. Contact was made with the reporting party who advised of multiple items being stolen from his room on 09/22/2024-09/23/2024 and 09/26/2024-09/27/2024. It was provided that the items were taken while the reporting party was not home. Case is open.

Location of Incident: 1113 Claude Rd; #2
Brief Narrative: Avery Contracting LLC submitted an online report that overnight on September 25, 2024 a theft occurred at a construction site on Claude Road in Grand Island Ne. The total value of
equipment lost is $1,916.00. Case is open.

Brief Narrative: Officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Eddy St between Hedde and Windolph. Officer observed the driver and recognized him to be Roberto Fraire. A records check
revealed Roberto Fraire has an expired, surrendered, revoked, and suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted near Locust and Oxnard, where Roberto was placed under arrest for Driving During
Revocation

Offense: Terroristic Threats
Victim: 24 year old male Incident #: L24092543
Offender: Jose Cruz
Date and Time of Incident: 9/29/24 @ 18:46
Location of Incident: S Locust & Lake St
Brief Narrative: On 09/29/2024 at 1846 hrs Officers responded to Locust St S and Lake St for a reported traffic injury accident. While in route, the driver of the vehicle left the scene of the accident. Officers contacted the male driver at 3436 S Locust St; Pump and Pantry. The male originally identified himself as Juan Cruz but was later identified as Jose Cruz. Jose continued to not comply during the investigation of the accident and once told he would be placed in cuffs he attempted to evade police. Jose was given multiple verbal commands to stop resisting and failed to place his hands behind his back. An administrative records check was conducted on Jose and records showed that Jose was a revoked driver. While Jose was in custody of Grand Island Police Department he made multiple threats of future violence towards Officers. Jose was charged with Obstruct a Peace Officer, Terroristic Threats, False Reporting, Resist Arrest-1st offense, Leave Accident-Fail to Furnish Info and Drive During Revocation/Impound-1st

Offender: Jose Cruz
Date and Time of Incident: 9/29/24 @ 19:37
Location of Incident: S Locust & Lake St
Brief Narrative: On 09/29/2024 around 1846 hours, officers were dispatched to a traffic incident near Locust St and Lake St. While investigating the accident the male driver was recognized by police
officers from prior involvements, and later identified verbally, verified with an administrative records
check, as Jose Cruz. The record check would inform officers that Jose Cruz currently had an active Hall County warrant, and an active Adams County warrant.  While officers attempted to place Jose into a marked patrol car after being hand cuffed, Jose actively resisted, tensing his whole body preventing the door from being closed. While officers were transferring Jose to a marked patrol vehicle with a full cage, Jose again actively resisted attempting to push away from the patrol vehicle with his foot. While officers were assisting Jose into the patrol vehicle he braced his shoulders and feet against the vehicle and thrust himself away from the vehicle into an officer, in doing so Jose knocked the officer back. Jose's chest struck the officer in the chin causing scratches, and pain.
Jose was arrested for Resist Arrest-1st offense and Assault Officer/Health Care Professional-3rd
degree.

Location of Incident: E 4th St & N Pine St
Brief Narrative: On 09-29-2024 at approximately 14:19 hours, Hall County Sheriff Deputy called out a traffic stop near Broadwell Ave. and Capital Ave. on a tan 2011 Chevy Malibu. This vehicle would flee from the traffic stop and was last seen southbound on Wheeler Ave from 10th St. At this time Officer was near 4th St and Walnut St and traveled East. The officer located the vehicle at 4th St. and Pine St. at 14:21 hours and attempted a traffic stop with overhead lights on. The officer stepped out of the vehicle and began to address the driver who he saw through the tinted windshield and identified from previous law enforcement contacts. The Malibu drove around right side of stopped traffic and almost struck parked vehicles as he fled southbound on Pine St. at speeds exceeding 25MPH speed limit and failing to stop at the red light at 3rd St. and Pine St. This is area is a business district where there were pedestrians present. The vehicle showed expired registration from June 2024 and no insurance on file. The driver is also known to have an active and confirmed Hall County Warrant. He also shows he has suspended driver’s license with prior convictions.
