Offense: Flight to Avoid
Victim: Incident #: L24090307
Offender: Miguel Flores
Date and Time of Incident: 9/4/24 @ 18:48
Location of Incident: St Paul Rd & 14th St E
Brief Narrative: On 09-04-2024 at approximately 1848 hours, officer observed a vehicle traveling east on 10th St at Vine St. The vehicle passed another on a residential street carelessly. Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle began to take off at a high rate of speed causing a female walking on the side of the road to go off into the ditch. After investigation officers learned there was a juvenile male in the vehicle. Driver was identified as Miguel Flores and confirmed with a DMV photo. After a records check, it showed Miguel had a revoked driver's license. Flores was arrested for Flight to Avoid, Commit Child Abuse, Careless Driving and Driving Under Revocation.

Location of Incident: 13th St W & Wheeler Ave
Brief Narrative: A traffic stop was conducted near 13th St and Wheeler Ave on a vehicle. The passenger, known by officer to be Kyah Cordell, provided identifying information for her cousin in an attempt to avoid being arrested on a Scotts Bluff County arrest warrant. Cordell was arrested for Criminal Impersonation and the Scotts Bluff Warrant.

Date and Time of Incident: between 12/27/23 & 9/4/24
Location of Incident: 716 Congdon Ave
Brief Narrative: On 09/04/2024 it was reported by an adult male at the Grand Island Police Department that he believed he had been scammed out approximately $140,500 dollars via bitcoin and wire transfers. This is an ongoing investigation at this time.
