Central Catholic Girls Fall To Adams Central, 62-34

(Grand Island, NE) - The GICC girls basketball team would fall to Adams Central on Saturday night by a final score of 62-34. GICC would only trail at the end of the first quarter, 15-13. The Patriots would then turn it up in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Crusaders 15-6 to lead 30-19 at the halftime break. 

GICC in the second half would trail 40-25 at the end of the 3rd quarter, and in the fourth quarter Adams Central would oust the Saders 22-9 to end the game. Adams Central is now 8-7 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday, January 27th, in the Central Conference Tournament,t hosting Crete in the quarter-finals at 5:30 pm.

The Crusaders drop to 2-14 on the season as GICC will be back in action on Monday, January 26th, traveling to Archbishop Bergan for a 6:00 pm contest. The winner of that game advances to the quarter-finals vs Lincoln Christian on Tuesday. 

If the Crusaders make the Centennial Conference Semi-Finals, either girls or boys, broadcasts will be carried on KRGI 1430/105.5 & krgi.com.
