Wildcats send 6 to Omaha; Capture C-4 District Title

The St. Paul Wildcats were in Kearney at the Class C District 4 Tournament at Kearney Catholic.

The Cats claimed the district crown sending 6 wrestlers to Omaha. Valentine pushed the Cats in the Championship round with the Blue & Gold edging the Badgers thanks to Alex Meinecke winning by major decision in his championship winning the team title 151.5 - 149.0.

The 6 St. Paul Wildcat Qualifiers are

126 Layne Baker - 1st Place

157 Jadyn Thomsen - 3rd Place

175 Alex Meinecke - 1st Place

190 Cody Kuszak - 3rd Place

Alexis Galusha(120) and Katlyn Oakley(125) will join the Boys in Omaha to round out 8 Wildcat Wrestlers in Omaha. Girls State Wrestling will be 2/18 & 2/19 while Boys State will be 2/20 - 2/22.
