Radiation Oncologist Dr. Shakeri Joins St. Francis


Grand Island – CHI Health St. Francis Regional Cancer Center is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Aria Shakeri, board-certified radiation oncologist, to its staff. Dr. Shakeri joins the cancer center following the retirement of Dr. Doug Clark, who served the community as a radiation oncologist for over 12 years.

Dr. Shakeri's training encompasses all aspects of radiation oncology. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center/Wilmot Cancer Center in Rochester, NY, following his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA. His clinical skills also includes palliative radiotherapy, radiation treatment for metastatic disease and radiotherapy for benign and musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Shakeri will join radiation oncology nurse practitioner Monica McDonald, AOCNP, APRN, FNP at the cancer center.

The CHI Health St. Francis Regional Cancer Center, located at 2620 W. Faidley Ave., operates weekdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments with Dr. Shakeri can be scheduled by calling 308-398-5442.
