Northwest Soccer Falls At Scotus

(Columbus, NE) - The Northwest soccer clubs would fall on the road Monday, April 14th at Columbus Scotus. The boys would fall in overtime by a final score of 1-0. The two teams would be scoreless in regulation as the Shamrocks would score the lone goal of the match in the first 10 minutes of extra time. The Vikings are now 3-5 on the season. The next action for the Vikings will be on Thursday, April 17th, in the Central Conference Tournament. Northwest boys will play at Crete with first kick at 5:30 pm.
The Northwest Viking girls would suffer their second loss of the season, falling 4-1 to Scotus. The Vikings goal was scored by senior Lupe Sanchez. The Shamrocks with the win remain undefeated at now 8-0. The Vikings slip to 7-2 and will next be in action with the Central Conference Tournament starting Thursday, April 17th. The Northwest girls will host Crete with first kick at 5:30 pm.
