Northwest Soccer Clubs Split At Lexington

(Lexington, NE) - The Northwest soccer teams hit the road on Thursday, traveling to Lexington.

The Northwest girls would score a season high in goals in the first match of the night, defeating the Minutemaids 11-1. Lupe Sanchez and Evie Keller would lead the Vikings on the night with four goals each. Anna Keller scored two goals, and Ava Smith scored one goal. Anna Keller would have four assists in the match. Lupe Sanchez would have two assists and one assist for Evie Keller. The Vikings are now 7-1 on the season and will be back in action Monday, April 14th at Columbus Scotus (6-0). 

In the second match of the night, the Lexington boys would defeat Northwest 2-0. The Minutemen would get a goal in each half of the 80 minutes played. The Lexington boys are now 8-2 on the season. Northwest suffers its first shutout loss of the season. The Vikings are now 3-4 and will also travel to Columbus Scotus (3-5) on Monday.
