Northwest Girls Down Hastings, Tiger Boys Defeat Vikings

(Grand Island, NE) - A cold, blustery night at Viking Field saw a split of the varsity soccer double header. The Northwest girls would defeat the Tigers 5-0. Lupe Sanchez would get two goals. Northwest would also get a goal apiece from Carlson, Poland, and Evie Keller. Northwest is now 12-2 on the season. 

The Hastings boys would win the second varsity match of the night, defeating Northwest 2-0. The Tigers would get a goal in each half. Northwest slips to 3-8. Hastings is now 12-1 on the season, bouncing back after their first loss of the season on Wednesday, falling to Bennington, 4-3. 

The next action for the Viking girls will be Thursday, May 1st as Northwest will travel to Seward for their regular season finale. The Vikings boys will be at Crete on Tuesday, April 29th, and then at Seward on Thursday, May 1st.
