Norfolk Man Arrested Near Central City On Multiple Counts

(Central City, NE) - On Thursday, April 18th at approximately 12:55 a.m. a Merrick County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 30 near 12th Ave in Central City, NE on a Dodge Avenger, white in color, for defective vehicle lighting. The Deputy approached the vehicle and immediately observed a bag of methamphetamine on the driver’s seat. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in law enforcement finding methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, fentanyl crystals, marijuana, and three firearms.

The driver, 54-year-old, Jerry D Storovich, of Norfolk, NE, was arrested and lodged at the Merrick County Jail for multiple counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, and Possession of a firearm During the Commission of a Felony, as well as several infractions.
