Next GILT Show Debuts Friday

Grand Island Little Theatre announces the spring show of the 2024-2025 season, “I Left My Dignity in My Other Purse” a comedy by Shelley Chester. This is the Nebraska Premier of this show. Show dates are April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 7:30PM and April 6 and 13 at 2PM at College Park Auditorium, 3180 West US Highway 34, Grand Island.
Ah, retirement! The time we all look forward to – until it goes to hell in a handcart. A four-day bender, starting with the retirement party followed by an alcoholic blackout, sends Ruth Baker, a non-drinker, on a hysterical, yet agonizing, truly humiliating journey to reveal what happened during those four horrible days. When the doorbell rings, catastrophes call! Uproarious antics, strange purchases, and devastating revelations are uncovered. Ruth must face the truth with a massive hangover and the aid of her best friends, Marge and Maya.
Cast members are Amy Hanquist Harris as Ruth, Cheryl O’Curran as Marge, Ellen Baker Bartlett as Maya, Jerry Poels as Roy and Nick Roush portraying multiple characters. Director is Patrick Crawford, Chris Hemmer is Assistant Director. Jeannee Fossberg is producer.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students 12 and under, includes tax and processing fee, and can be purchased by calling the Grand Island Little Theatre box office at 308-382-2586, at the door or online through link available on Gilt’s website githeatre.org.
Student tickets MUST be purchased at Grand Island Little Theatre. Box office hours are Monday through Friday 9AM to 1PM. Group discounts are available. This show has some adult themes and language, rated PG 13. Check information on the web site at githeatre.org.
