McIntyre Signs With Southwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo

(Grand Island, NE) - It's off to Weatherford, Oklahoma, for Reagan McIntyre as she will participate in the rodeo program for the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs. SWOSU is an NCAA Division II school about an hour west of Oklahoma City.
Rodeo is in the family, as Reagan grew up with her dad and even his siblings participating in the action. It's something that not only Reagan takes part in but also her three other siblings. McIntyre participates in roping events. She is the first girl from Nebraska to win the team roping. A State champion last year in the breakaway roping. She has also been named the Nebraska High School Rodeo Association all-around cowgirl three times. She plans to become a school psychologist after college, but she has aspirations of becoming a rodeo professional someday.
McIntyre is fresh off the Northwest basketball season, where the Vikings finished 17-9 as district runner-up. The Viking senior led the black and gold in scoring this season, averaging 12.2 points per game. She also led Northwest this season in made three pointers with 56. It was recently announced that McIntyre would be listed on the 1st team for the All Central Conference list.
