Lunch & Learns Scheduled in Hastings

The City of Hastings Development Services Department is providing a series of free lunch and learn classes during 2026 to cover required continuing education hours for plumbers, gas fitters, and mechanical contractors. 

The Development Services Department will provide the lunch.

“We are offering these continuing education classes to our local contractors so they can meet their needed continuing education credits for the year,” Chief Building Official Danny Graves said. 

The Development Services Department is also changing from the 2018 ICC codes to the 2024 ICC codes and would like feedback from contractors.

10 a.m.-Noon: Basic Combustion on Boiler’s and Water Heaters, Basic Venting Methodology and Fuel Gas Codes
Noon – 1 p.m.: Lunch Provided
1pm – 3pm: Changes from the 2018 ICC to 2024 ICC Codes
