Huskies Handle Cardinals in Central Conference Semis

The Aurora boys advanced to the Central Conference Tournament championship game for the second straight season with a 51-42 victory over Crete. The Huskies scored the final 11 points of the first quarter to take control.

Aurora led by 14 in the second before Crete closed to within four at the half. After the Cardinals got to within two, Aurora put together a 9-0 run. Crete didn't get closer than four the rest of the way.

Cannon Allen scored 19 for the Huskies. Ryan Staehr added 10. Aurora plays at Adams Central for the title on Saturday at 3pm. The Patriots rallied past Columbus Lakeview 50-49. Coverage begins at 2:45 on 97.3 the Wolf.
