Lincoln - The undefeated Nebraska women's basketball team entered the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time this season, as the Huskers joined the poll at No. 24 on Monday, Dec. 8.

Nebraska (9-0) is coming off an impressive 101-83 win at Penn State in the Big Red's Big Ten Conference opener at State College on Saturday.

Sophomores Amiah Hargrove (26), Britt Prince (20) and Petra Bozan (17) led five Huskers in double figures against the Lady Lions, as Nebraska matched its highest point total ever in a conference game, including a record-setting 36 points in the fourth quarter alone.

The Huskers, who are ranked No. 12 in the current NCAA NET rankings, are one of nine Big Ten Conference teams in the NET Top 20 in women's basketball.

Nancy Lieberman Award candidate Britt Prince, a 5-11 sophomore point guard out of Omaha, leads the Big Red as one of the Big Ten's top scorers at 21.2 points per game. She is shooting a sizzling 63.9 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three-point range while sinking 83.3 percent of her free throws. She is also dishing out 4.1 assists per contest.

Prince quarterbacks an efficient Husker offense that ranks ninth nationally in scoring (90.7 ppg), second in field goal percentage (.539) and 21st in three-point percentage (.378).

The Huskers have produced at least 80 points in each of their first nine games - the longest stretch in school history.

Behind Prince is a balanced Big Red offense that shares the ball at an extremely high level, as the Huskers rank sixth nationally in assists (21.1 apg) and 10th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.62) while ranking fourth nationally in bench points (35.8 ppg).

The Nebraska men's and women's programs enter the week with identical 9-0 records, joining Iowa State and Vanderbilt as the only remaining schools in the nation with a pair of unbeaten basketball teams.

The Husker women's basketball team, which returned to the AP rankings for the first time since mid-December of 2024 despite receiving votes in the poll during most of that span, shoots for a 10-game season-opening win streak when Nebraska plays host to Omaha on Tuesday. Tip-off at Pinnacle Bank Arena is set for 7 p.m. (CT) with tickets available now at Huskers.com.
