Home Run Power Leads The Way As Northwest Claims Crete Invite
(Crete, NE) - The Northwest Vikings softball team would smack six more home runs on Saturday defeating Crete 10-0 and Hastings 9-5 at the Crete Invite. The seven-team field would give Northwest only two games on the day after the Vikings received a first-round bye as the number one seed.
In game one vs Crete, Northwest would get home runs from Becca Dinkelman, Laiken Dorsey, and Reyse Zobel. In game two vs Hastings, home runs would sail out from Becca Dinkelman, Libby Loman, and Reyse Zobel.
The Vikings are now 22-1 on the season and will next travel to Gretna on Tuesday, October 1st to take on the Gretna East Griffins (15-11). Listen live on 103.1 FM & 2dayfm1031.com. The first pitch is set for 6:00 pm.
