Hastings edges Prospects

The Hastings Sodbusters completed a 4-1 homestand to open the season with a 3-2 win over the Nebraska Prospects. James Velasquez pitched 5 innings of two-hit shutout ball for the win. Braden Cork, the fourth pitcher worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his first save. Ryan Jarvis tripled and scored as part of a 2-3 day. Tyler Welsh had two infield singles and an RBI. Joel Schipper talked about the win.

Hastings will start a long road trip. The next home game is June 15th.
