Hall County Sheriff's Office Investigates Death

On March 27th, 2025, at approximately 5:16 p.m., Hall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 7425 Nine Bridge Rd; Mormon Island State Recreation Area for a suspicious truck with a boat trailer parked on the boat ramp. There was also an unoccupied boat in the water. The Grand Island Dive Rescue Team was contacted, and a short time later a deceased male was located. The male was removed from the water and identified as 64-year-old Randy Imler, of Doniphan, NE. Investigation showed this to be an accidental death with no signs of foul play.  Next of kin has been notified. The Nebraska State Patrol, Nebraska Game and Parks, Doniphan Volunteer Fire Department, and Grand Island Dive Rescue Team were all involved in this investigation.
