Hall County Fatality

On September 17, 2025, at approximately 10:36 am Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 281 and Guenther Rd reference a two-vehicle accident with one injury. 

A preliminary investigation indicates a 2021 Freightliner box truck was traveling north on Hwy 281 north of Guenther Rd when it lost control, crossed the median, and struck a southbound 2017 Chevrolet pickup on the driver’s side door. The driver of the freightliner was identified as Adrian Sanchez Rios, a 35-year-old male from Grand Island. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup has not been positively identified at this time and was declared deceased at the scene.

An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene to assist in the investigation. An autopsy will be conducted. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be released later in the investigation.
