(Grand Island, NE) - The Grand Island Senior High (GISH) Football program will be transitioning to new leadership for the 2025-26 season.
Coach Creighton Reed will be leaving his position as head coach for GISH Football.
In the meantime, Coach Jeff McQuinn will serve as the Interim Head Football Coach for the Islanders. Coach McQuinn has been with us at GISH and with the Football program for 10 years as an Assistant Coach and will be a familiar face for our student-athletes and families. He also serves as an Athletic Performance and Lifetime Fitness teacher at Grand Island Senior High.
“We’re grateful for Coach Reed and his work with our athletes. We appreciate Coach McQuinn’s willingness to step into a larger role while Islander Football is in transition.” Ladwig said, “Our commitment remains the same — providing the best extracurricular opportunities and life-lessons we can for our Islander student athletes.”
The GISH Activities Department is working on long term plans for the Football program.
