Grand Island Public Library Partners With Grand Island Concert Association To Share Free Tickets For Omaha Symphony Orchestra

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library is partnering with the Grand Island Concert Association (GICA) to help local families experience the Omaha Symphony Orchestra’s first-ever public performance in Grand Island.

The 60-member symphony, conducted by Serena Reuten, will present a holiday program of seasonal favorites and classic carols at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 21 at the Grand Island Senior High School Auditorium.

To make this uplifting concert accessible to more residents, GICA is providing 20 free community tickets for library patrons to check out. Each ticket admits two adults and four children at no cost. In addition, former Grand Island Mayor Margaret Hornady has contributed 10 more tickets for the library to distribute at its discretion, expanding the number of families who can attend.

Ticket availability and checkout details are available at the Grand Island Public Library. Quantities are limited and available while supplies last. The Grand Island Concert Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting live performances that enrich, educate, and entertain audiences across Central Nebraska. Full season memberships are $75 and single-concert tickets are $20.

For more information about GICA, call Tracy Overstreet at (308) 390-1135 or email [email protected].
