Grand Island Baseball Downs North Platte, 4-1

(Grand Island, NE) - The Grand Island baseball team picked up win number four on Monday evening at Ryder Park, downing the North Platte Bulldogs 4-1. The two teams would be tied through two innings. Grand Island would take the lead for good in the bottom of the 3rd with two runs and add one more insurance run in the bottom of the sixth.
Ian Arends would lead the Islanders with three hits and one RBI. Dinkelman, Barrientos, Gannon, and Verplank each would have a hit in the game. Sam Schroeder would have two RBI's. Brock Cushing would go 7 complete innings, giving up four hits, one run, one walk, and ring up seven North Platte batters on strikeouts on 90 pitches.
