Good Samaritan’s Stroke Care recognized nationally

Kearney—CHI Health Good Samaritan was recently recertified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. The Gold Seal of Approval® for Stroke, a national accreditation, recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care by demonstrating continuous compliance to the highest world standards. Good Samaritan initially earned the certification in 2011 becoming the first Primary Stroke Center in the region.

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
