Girls Fall, Boys Win At Lincoln Christian Friday Night

(Lincoln, NE) - The GICC basketball teams hit the road Friday night at Lincoln Christian. In the girls' matchup, Lincoln Christian defeated the Crusaders, 70-8. The back-to-back Class C1 state champs from the last two seasons have now won 45 games in a row, dating back to their last loss on Jan. 27th, 2024, falling to GICC in the Centennial Conference Championship game, 44-42. 

The GICC boys would squander a 16-point lead in the second half but hang on for a 47-42 win. Lincoln Christian would cut the game to 40-38, but that would be as close as the contest would get.  With the win GICC has now won four in a row headed into a Saturday matchup at Hastings College vs Amherst.
