Douglas Set to Join Broncos as Assistant Athletic Director in 2026-27 Academic Year
(Hastings, NE) – Hastings College Athletic Director Chris Clements announced today that Hastings College Alumnus Tracy Douglas has been named as the Assistant Athletic Director, beginning on July 1.
"We are excited to welcome Tracy back to Hastings College," Clements said. "Tracy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience at the high school level that will be impactful for our athletic department. We are always ecstatic to bring a Hastings College Alumnus home, and we are looking forward to bringing Tracy back to Hastings College."
Douglas has spent the last 30 years at Hastings Senior High School, currently serving as the Activities Director, a role she has held since 2013. She began her work at Hastings High as a teacher and coach, eventually transitioning to Assistant Principal in 2007.
"I'm honored to accept this position and return to Hastings College, a place that helped shape me both personally and professionally," Douglas said. "I'm excited to support student-athletes, coaches, and programs while giving back and contributing to the continued success of Bronco athletics."
As the Activities Director, Douglas oversaw all activities compliance and student eligibility, coordinated scheduling and events, and supported all coaches and programs. In 2023, Douglas received the District IV Activities Director of the Year award and the NSAA Outstanding Service Award for Softball.
A member of the 1992-93 basketball team that advanced to the National Tournament and later inducted into the Hastings College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001, Douglas graduated from Hastings in 1993 and received her master's degree in Education Administration in 1998.
