Crusaders topple WIldcats at Home

It was early meeting of rivals Monday in Doniphan as the St. Paul Wildcats traveled down Highway 281 to take on the GICC Crusaders.
A 12 pitch duel between Pitcher Addy Wegner of St. Paul and GICC Pitcher/Batter Emily Price won by Price was an early momentum swing for the Crusaders as she singled a run in to give GICC the early 2-0 lead. The Crusaders scored identicals runs in the 1st and 2nd innings with 3 runs apiece.
The Cats attempted a rally in the 3rd with runs by Kami Sack and Jorja Vokes on back to back Sacrifice Flies for St. Paul.
GICC took one of those runs back in the bottom of the 3rd as Gracie Watson lead the frame off with a Home Run.
St. Paul again found life in the 4th with a 3 run inning paced by Senior Audra Dugan doubling on a linedrive to left.
GICC's offense put the game away early with an 8 run 4th to put the game away in 4 innings.
The Cats fall to 2-3 on the year while the Crusaders improve to 3-2.
GICC will be at Ord tomorrow on 1430 KRGI/105.5 FM while St. Paul will host Milford Thursday.
