City of Grand Island to Recognize Presidents' Day

Grand Island, Neb. — With the upcoming Presidents’ Day holiday, the City of Grand Island would like to announce various closures.

All of the below departments will be closed on Monday, February 17:

  * Grand Island City Hall
  * Utilities Service Center
  * GIPD Service Desk (Please call 9-1-1)
  * Wastewater Treatment Plant

City entities that will still be operating under normal hours include:

  * Solid Waste Facility
  * Grand Island Public Library (9a-6p)
  * Grand Island Cemetery Office
  * Community Fieldhouse
  * Transit Office
  * Street & Fleet Office
