Central City men arrested on drug charges
CENTRAL CITY - A Merrick County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Highway 30 near 15th Avenue in Central City Tuesday on a Ford F150 driven by Kirt Bauers, 58 years old of Clarks, Merrick County.
During the stop a search of the vehicle was conducted and controlled substance and paraphernalia was located. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as John McDonald, 75 years old of Central City.
Both subjects were arrested and transported to Merrick County Jail on the following charges:
Bauers-Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Traffic Infractions.
McDonald-Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana Less Than 1 oz. 2nd Offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The Central City Police Department assisted during the traffic stop.
