C-4 District Golf: St Paul Wins Championship - GICC Finishes 3rd

(Grand Island, NE) - Indianhead Golf Course hosted the Class C District 4 tournament on Tuesday with St Paul coming out on top with the championship. The Wildcats were at the top of the team standings shooting a 319. Also advancing to state is Doniphan Trumbull as the Cardinals came in 2nd place (322), and GICC slid into the 3rd place spot with a scoring of 328. The Crusaders advanced to state for the ninth straight year. 

Brycen Schwenka of Minden was the first-place finisher in the individual standings firing a 72. Sam Wells of St Paul shot a 74 to check into 2nd place. Hayden Dzingle of Doniphan Trumbull finished in 3rd place with a 75. The top-place finisher for the GICC Crusaders was Jack Alberts as the sophomore shot a 75.  

The State Class C golf tournament will take place at Elks Country Club in Columbus on Tuesday, May 21st, and Wednesday, May 22nd.
