GAME 1: UNC Greensboro 5, Creighton 3
All the scoring in the opener came in the first two innings as each team took advantage of early pitching struggles.

The Spartans struck first with three runs in the bottom of the first. Walks to the first two hitters set the table for Parker Wight to line an RBI double down the right field line. Jacob Dilley followed with a two-run single down the third base line. Dilley was cut down trying to go to second for the first out and the next two UNC Greensboro hitters were retired.

Creighton responded with three runs in the top of the second. Ben North opened the frame with a single to right, then Kyle Hess was hit by a pitch. Matt Scherrman bounced an RBI single through the left side to make it 3-1, then Connor Capece was hit by a pitch to load the bases. With two down in the frame Teddy Deters laced a two-run single to right-center to knot the game at 3-3.

UNC Greensboro struck back immediately with two runs via a one out walk and a two-run home run by Zach Walsh.

After eight combined runs crossed in the first two innings, no further scoring happened.

Spartan Sam Murchison collected the win (1-0), allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in six innings, while Noah Chapman tossed three scoreless innings for the save (1). Creighton starter Ian Koosman took the loss (0-1), allowing five runs on four hits in 3.1 innings.

GAME 2: UNC Greensboro 3, Creighton 0
The second game was a pitching battle as the only runs came in the bottom of the fifth. UNC Greensboro benefited from three walks to open the fifth, then pushed across runs on a hit batter, a single from Case Kermode and a wild pitch.

Spartan starter Jay Miller earned the win (1-0) with seven scoreless innings, while Danny Thompson Jr. closed the contest with two scoreless frames for the save (1).

Creighton reliever Joe Hauser took the loss (0-1), surrendering three runs on three walks.
