Aurora SB Ends the Season with a 1-1 finish at the B7 District

The Aurora softball team finish with a run-rule win and a run-rule loss at the B7 district at Norris HS.
The fourth seed Huskies eliminated Adams Central 12-0 in the quarterfinals. Aurora scored in all three innings to make quick work of the Patriots. Ashlyn Kottwitz went 3-3 doubled, knocked in one and scored three times. Violet Carstensen was 3-3 with a double, RBI, and two runs scored. Emely Gonzales cracked a two-run triple to end the game. Josie Fink tossed a three hitter and struck out five.
Aurora got off to a great start in the semis with two runs on three hits in the first. However Norris blasted three-run homers in each of the first two innings on the way to a 12-2, four inning win. Carstensen had two more hits as part of a 5-5 day.

Norris plays Crete in a best of three series at 11am today for the championship.
