Aurora BB drops a pair at the AG tourney Tuesday
Another slow start doomed the Aurora Boys to a fourth place finish at the Ashland-Greenwood Holiday Tournament. Lincoln Christian scored the first eight on the way to a 47-34 win over the Huskies. Trailing by 17 in the second, Aurora scored the final 10 of the half to make it 24-17. The Huskies got as close as five in the third quarter before the Crusaders extended the lead. Ryan Staehr scored 13 and took two charges to lead Aurora.
Ashland-Greenwood dominated Roncalli in a matchup of unbeatens in the championship game 66-26.
The Aurora girls led much of the first half, before Lincoln Christian came back for a 53-31 win in the championship game. The Crusaders outscored the Huskies 18-4 in the third to break open a 20-19 game at the half. Lincoln Christian has won 49 in a row. Kaitlyn Staehr led Aurora with 11.
Ashland-Greenwood defeated Roncalli for third 56-48.
