Aurora BB Cruises Past KC

The Aurora basketball teams picked up a pair of double digit wins at Kearney Catholic on Thursday. 

The Aurora girls put together a 10-0 midway through the first quarter and went on to a 52-35 victory. Kaitlyn Staehr and Evelyn Kraus each scored 14 to pace the Huskies.

The Aurora boys shot 68 percent from the field in the first half to build an 31 point lead and cruised 68-30. The Huskies have won seven in a row and are unbeaten in January. Cannon Allen scored 15. Ryan Staehr added 13 for Aurora.

Aurora hosts Seward today for a 5pm double header. Next coverage of the Huskies will be in the semifinals of the Central Conference Tournament next week if either team advances on Tuesday.
